Als onderdeel van deze inspanning, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/travelsmartcampaign.org\/nl\/spoor-eerst\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">elk jaar nieuwe bedrijven<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> besluiten om de uitstoot van hun vliegreizen te verminderen door over te stappen op het spoor. Ook dit jaar is het momentum onmiskenbaar: bedrijven praten er niet alleen over: ze ondernemen actie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opmerkelijke voorbeelden zijn onder andere Roland Berger, het wereldwijde adviesbureau, dat een verplicht treinbeleid heeft ingevoerd voor reizen die per trein in minder dan 3:30 uur kunnen worden afgelegd, terwijl het werknemers extra's biedt zoals eersteklas treinreizen en de trein als werktijd laat meetellen voor werk dat tijdens persoonlijke reizen wordt gedaan. Ook het grote farmaceutische bedrijf AstraZeneca verplicht reizen per trein voor reizen van minder dan vier uur en de multinationale bank ING beperkt vliegreizen op korteafstandsroutes waar hogesnelheidstreinen beschikbaar zijn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De praktijken van deze bedrijven illustreren een grotere trend. Neem bijvoorbeeld het Verenigd Koninkrijk, waar werknemers in de publieke sector nu meer per trein reizen dan per vliegtuig. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/transform.scot\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Fight-or-Flight-summary-report.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">routes tussen Schotland en Londen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Frankrijk heeft ook een stijging gezien in het zakelijk reizen per trein. SNCF, de nationale spoorwegmaatschappij, rapporteerde dat het zakelijk reizen per trein <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/sncf-record-passagers-2023-20240122.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">terug op het niveau van 2019<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. De <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/travelsmartcampaign.org\/nl\/beleidsontwikkelingen\/franse-wet-op-het-plan-voor-nuchterheid-in-de-energiesector-ii\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Franse regering<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> moedigt bedrijven nu sterk aan om voor de trein te kiezen op reizen van minder dan vier uur. Dit is de toekomst van zakenreizen in Europa, en het gebeurt nu.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Zakelijke reizigers willen betere grensoverschrijdende diensten<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maar er zijn nog steeds knelpunten en als die niet worden aangepakt, zal de verschuiving naar reizen per trein tot stilstand komen. Eerst moeten we de omslachtige processen voor het boeken van treinkaartjes oplossen. Dat is waar de <\/span><b>EU-verordening inzake enkelvoudige ticketing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> komt eraan. Het is bevestigd door de Europese Commissie en komt in 2025 op tafel. Het zal het proces van het boeken van internationale treinreizen stroomlijnen. Meer dan 70 bedrijven hebben al <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/travelsmartcampaign.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/New-draft-letter-MDMS-corporates-2024-Elections.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">genaamd<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> op de EU om de ticketverkoop te verbeteren, en nu reageert de EU.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De nieuwe verordening verplicht spoorwegexploitanten om hun gegevens op alle platforms te delen, zodat zakenreizigers een enkel ticket kunnen boeken voor reizen met meerdere etappes, ongeacht welke exploitant erbij betrokken is. Dit maakt het niet alleen gemakkelijker om te boeken, maar zorgt er ook voor dat passagiers volledige rechten hebben in geval van vertragingen of annuleringen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ten tweede, de <\/span><b>EU en regeringen moeten meer investeren in spoorweginfrastructuur.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Zakenreizigers eisen betrouwbaarheid en in sommige landen is de service gewoon niet goed genoeg. Investeringen in netwerkonderhoud en digitalisering zijn nodig om vertragingen en annuleringen te verminderen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neem bijvoorbeeld Duitsland: minder dan twee derde van de langeafstandstreinen van de Deutsche Bahn kwam in 2024 op tijd aan. Deze onbetrouwbaarheid heeft ertoe geleid dat toonaangevende bedrijfsverenigingen die meer dan 1500 leden vertegenwoordigen en bedrijven zoals SAP, IKEA-retailer Ingka Group, Sweco, evenals de Universiteit van Luik zich hebben aangesloten bij milieugroeperingen in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.germanwatch.org\/en\/91726\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">de Duitse regering oproepen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> om te investeren in de modernisering van het spoorwegnet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Betrouwbaarheidsproblemen zijn niet uniek voor Duitsland. Om het potentieel van het reizen per spoor volledig te benutten, moet Europa zijn spoorweginfrastructuur optimaal benutten. De komende EU-begroting en de Connecting Europe Facility, een belangrijk financieringsinstrument van de EU, moeten worden gebruikt om grensoverschrijdende verbindingen te verbeteren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het is duidelijk dat zakenreizigers klaar zijn om over te stappen. Maar om deze verandering echt te omarmen, moeten de EU en de regeringen snel handelen.
