De EU heeft overeenstemming bereikt over een uniforme methode voor het berekenen van broeikasgasemissies van vervoersdiensten. De nieuwe regels zijn bedoeld om de milieu-impact van verschillende vervoerswijzen beter te kunnen vergelijken, zodat consumenten en bedrijven weloverwogen keuzes kunnen maken en het risico op greenwashing wordt verminderd.<\/span><\/p>\n

De methodologie geeft voorrang aan primaire gegevens boven schattingen en beloont exploitanten die emissies rechtstreeks meten. De Europese Commissie zal een gratis, openbaar berekeningsinstrument met ondersteunende handleidingen ontwikkelen, dat binnen vier jaar klaar moet zijn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit vormt een belangrijke basis voor transparante en vergelijkbare broeikasgasemissies voor alle vervoerswijzen. Het vermindert de complexiteit en zorgt voor een soepele afstemming op de duurzaamheids- en rapportagevereisten voor bedrijven in de reisbranche.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wat zakelijke vliegreizen betreft, blijft de vraag of niet-CO2-effecten als optionele rapportage zouden worden gepresenteerd.<\/span><\/p>\n

De Commissie zal samen met het Europees Milieuagentschap ook twee gratis EU-databanken opzetten met gegevens over de intensiteit van broeikasgasemissies en factorwaarden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit initiatief zal leiden tot beter ge\u00efnformeerde transportkeuzes en bedrijven aanzetten tot meer transparantie en nauwkeurigheid bij het rapporteren van emissies.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
