Inspanningen om het koolstofvrij maken van de luchtvaartsector te versnellen vinden steeds vaker plaats, zelfs vanuit emissiehubs van vliegreizen: luchthavens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De Nederlandse overheid heeft in juni 2022 als eerste ter wereld een limiet ingevoerd op vluchten vanaf een Europese hub door het aantal vluchten van en naar de luchthaven Schiphol in Amsterdam te beperken tot 500.000 per jaar. De stap zal een begin maken met de implementatie ervan en heeft tot doel de uitstoot van de luchtvaart te verminderen en de klimaatverandering te bestrijden. Het plafond omvat zowel passagiers- als vrachtvluchten en zal elke vijf jaar worden herzien om de doeltreffendheid ervan te beoordelen. De Nederlandse regering hoopt dat andere Europese landen hun voorbeeld zullen volgen en soortgelijke maatregelen zullen introduceren om de uitstoot van de luchtvaart terug te dringen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De actie werd door een rechterlijke uitspraak geblokkeerd tot juli 2023, wanneer<\/span> het Nederlandse Hof van Beroep oordeelde dat Nederland vluchten naar Schiphol kan beperken.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Door het aantal zakelijke vluchten terug te dringen, kunnen bedrijven profiteren van het feit dat ze niet worden be\u00efnvloed door luchthavenbeperkingen, waardoor ze bijdragen aan het duurzamer maken van de luchtvaart, hun veerkracht in de klimaatcrisis kunnen waarborgen en kunnen innoveren op manieren om verbinding te maken en hun zakelijke activiteiten uit te voeren zonder in een vliegtuig te hoeven springen .<\/span><\/p>\n

De Amsterdamse luchthavenplafondsplannen hebben de verschillende belanghebbenden gemobiliseerd, te beginnen met de luchtvaartmaatschappijen, de Amerikaanse regering en de Europese Commissie, die opriepen tot stopzetting ervan en de Nederlandse regering ertoe aanzetten dit te doen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Het plan ligt nu echter weer op tafel, nadat de luchthaven er zelf om had gevraagd <\/span>door te verwijzen naar \u201ceen combinatie van onvoldoende terminalfaciliteiten voor widebody-jets, ontoereikende middelen voor douane- en grenscontroles, en een gebrek aan luchtverkeersleidingscapaciteit\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
