Het rapport benadrukt de aanzienlijke kloof tussen de huidige emissieniveaus en wat nodig is om de opwarming van de aarde te beperken tot 1,5\u00b0C of 2\u00b0C, zoals vastgelegd in de Overeenkomst van Parijs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het rapport benadrukt de dringende noodzaak van transformatie in de samenleving. Ondanks de nationaal bepaalde bijdragen die landen sinds COP 26 hebben ingediend, geeft het rapport aan dat het onwaarschijnlijk is dat de mondiale doelstelling voor de reductie van broeikasgasemissies uit de Overeenkomst van Parijs zal worden gehaald. Stapsgewijze veranderingen zijn niet langer voldoende, en er zijn brede, systemische transformaties nodig om de opwarming van de aarde te beperken tot ruim onder de 2\u00b0C, bij voorkeur 1,5\u00b0C.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het rapport benadrukt de dringende noodzaak van actie om de uitstoot van de transportsector, de op \u00e9\u00e9n na grootste uitstotende sector, terug te dringen. Het merkt op dat, ondanks enige vooruitgang bij de adoptie van elektrische voertuigen, het mondiale wagenpark voor een overweldigende meerderheid afhankelijk blijft van fossiele brandstoffen.<\/span><b> en de emissies van de luchtvaart blijven stijgen. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Een van de <\/span><b>aanbevelingen voor bedrijven is om het aantal reizen tijdens operaties te verminderen <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">en werken aan een emissievrij transport<\/span><b>. Een belangrijke stap daarvoor is dat bedrijven hun zakelijke vliegreizen verschuiven naar het spoor en virtuele technologie\u00ebn gaan gebruiken voor vergaderingen.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het blijkt dat veel bedrijven toezeggingen hebben gedaan om hun uitstoot te verminderen, maar het Intergouvernementeel Panel voor Klimaatverandering (IPCC) <\/span><b>roept op tot ambitieuzere maatregelen om deze toezeggingen om te zetten in tastbare resultaten<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Het benadrukt het belang van <\/span><b>duurzaamheidsrapportage, waarbij wordt opgemerkt dat transparante rapportage over emissies en klimaatrisico&#039;s essentieel is voor investeerders en andere belanghebbenden om weloverwogen beslissingen te kunnen nemen.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het rapport besluit met de nadruk op de <\/span><b>urgentie van actie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
