De Climate Data Steering Committee heeft aanbevelingen onthuld voor de Net-Zero Data Public Utility (NZDPU), een nieuw open-data-hulpprogramma dat datalacunes, inconsistenties en ontoegankelijkheid zal aanpakken die de klimaatactie vertragen. De NZDPU zal nauwkeurige, vertrouwde en verifieerbare gegevens leveren om de transitie naar een netto-nuleconomie te vergemakkelijken en op te schalen, en de fundamentele gegevens zullen voor iedereen openlijk beschikbaar worden gesteld.<\/span><\/p>\n

De Climate Data Steering Committee, samengesteld uit experts uit de academische wereld, de industrie en de overheid, werd opgericht om de ontwikkeling van het klimaatdatahulpprogramma te begeleiden. De aanbevelingen van de commissie omvatten onder meer de behoefte aan robuuste datakwaliteitscontroles, standaardisatie van dataformaten en het gebruik van open datastandaarden om het delen van data en samenwerking te vergemakkelijken.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het voorgestelde hulpprogramma voor klimaatgegevens zou toegang bieden tot een reeks klimaatgegevens, waaronder historische klimaatgegevens, klimaatprojecties en informatie over klimaatgerelateerde risico's en kwetsbaarheden.<\/b> Het hulpprogramma zou ook hulpmiddelen en middelen bieden om gebruikers te helpen de gegevens te analyseren en interpreteren, en weloverwogen beslissingen te nemen over klimaatgerelateerde risico's en kansen.<\/span><\/p>\n
