De Europese Commissie (EC) heeft in maart 2018 een actieplan voor de financiering van duurzame groei ge\u00efntroduceerd, waarin onder meer versterking is opgenomen <\/span>openbaarmaking van duurzaamheid<\/b>. Deze nieuwe regelgeving verplicht financi\u00eble instellingen (banken, beleggingsondernemingen en verzekeringsmaatschappijen) om openbaar te maken hoe zij milieu-, sociale en governance-risico's (ESG) in hun besluitvormingsprocessen integreren. Het belangrijkste doel is om de transparantie en verantwoordingsplicht in de financi\u00eble sector te verbeteren en duurzamere beleggingspraktijken aan te moedigen.<\/span><\/p>\n

In mei 2018 werd een voorstel voor een verordening inzake openbaarmaking van duurzaamheid in de financi\u00eble sector ingediend en aangenomen als onderdeel van het pakket duurzame financiering. De Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation (SFDR) legt verplichtingen op het gebied van openbaarmaking van duurzaamheid op aan producenten van financi\u00eble producten en financi\u00eble adviseurs met betrekking tot de integratie van duurzaamheidsrisico\u2019s in alle beleggingsprocessen en voor financi\u00eble producten die duurzame beleggingsdoelstellingen nastreven. Het vereist ook de openbaarmaking van negatieve gevolgen voor duurzaamheidskwesties op het niveau van de entiteiten en financi\u00eble producten.<\/span><\/p>\n

De EC heeft op 6 april 2022 technische reguleringsnormen aangenomen, die de inhoud, methodologie en presentatie specificeren van duurzaamheidsgerelateerde informatie die door financi\u00eble marktdeelnemers in het kader van de SFDR openbaar moet worden gemaakt. Naleving van deze vereisten zal bijdragen aan het versterken van de beleggersbescherming en het terugdringen van greenwashing. De eisen gelden vanaf 1 januari 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n
