{"id":7847,"date":"2022-04-18T20:53:19","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T19:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travelsmartcampaign.org\/?post_type=policy-developments&#038;p=7847"},"modified":"2024-10-03T16:00:57","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T15:00:57","slug":"klimaatverandering-2022-mitigatie-van-de-klimaatverandering","status":"publish","type":"policy-developments","link":"https:\/\/travelsmartcampaign.org\/nl\/policy-developments\/climate-change-2022-mitigation-of-climate-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Klimaatverandering 2022: mitigatie van de klimaatverandering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het Intergouvernementeel Panel voor Klimaatverandering (IPCC) heeft zijn zesde Assessment Report (AR6) uitgebracht over de beperking van de klimaatverandering, waarin de nadruk ligt op de wetenschap en technologie om de opwarming van de aarde te beperken tot 1,5\u00b0C boven het pre-industri\u00eble niveau.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het rapport stelt dat het beperken van de opwarming van de aarde tot 1,5\u00b0C snelle, verreikende en ongekende veranderingen zal vereisen in alle aspecten van de samenleving, inclusief energiesystemen, landgebruik, stedelijke infrastructuur en industri\u00eble processen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Om de opwarming van de aarde tot 1,5\u00b0C te beperken, adviseert zij de <\/span><b>snel en duurzaam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> vermindering van de uitstoot van broeikasgassen, met name kooldioxide, in alle sectoren van de economie. Dit zal een snelle transitie naar koolstofarme energiebronnen vereisen, zoals hernieuwbare energie en kernenergie, evenals de vaststelling van energie-effici\u00ebntiemaatregelen en het koolstofvrij maken van transport, industrie en gebouwen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snelle en diepgaande veranderingen in de vraag maken het voor elke sector gemakkelijker om de uitstoot van broeikasgassen op de korte en middellange termijn te verminderen, wat kan worden toegepast om het vervoer koolstofvrij te maken. Als het om de luchtvaart gaat, moeten frequent flyers, vaak geassocieerd met zakelijk vliegen, andere manieren van transport gaan overwegen. Zakenreizen vertegenwoordigen ongeveer tussen de 15% en 20% van het wereldwijde vliegverkeer. <\/span><b>Het grootste vermijdingspotentieel komt voort uit het terugdringen van de langeafstandsluchtvaart en het aanbieden van koolstofarme stedelijke infrastructuur over korte afstanden<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Twee jaar na de pandemie hebben bedrijven virtuele technologie\u00ebn in hun bedrijfsmodellen ge\u00efntegreerd, wat een effici\u00ebnte manier kan zijn om langeafstandsvluchten voor vergaderingen te vermijden. Voor korte afstanden en regionale reizen zijn hogesnelheidstreinen een veel duurzamere optie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het rapport merkt op dat de kosten van het beperken van de klimaatverandering aanzienlijk zijn, maar dat ze niet opwegen tegen de voordelen van het vermijden van de ergste gevolgen van de klimaatverandering, zoals voedsel- en wateronzekerheid, ontheemding en conflicten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over het geheel genomen concludeert het rapport dat het beperken van de opwarming van de aarde tot 1,5\u00b0C technisch en economisch haalbaar is, maar dringende en aanhoudende actie van alle sectoren van de samenleving zal vereisen.
