A Comiss\u00e3o Europeia publicou um plano para acelerar o desenvolvimento de comboios de alta velocidade em toda a UE at\u00e9 2040, tornando muitas viagens ferrovi\u00e1rias significativamente mais r\u00e1pidas e competitivas. A iniciativa apoia os objetivos da Europa de alcan\u00e7ar a neutralidade carb\u00f3nica at\u00e9 2050 e refor\u00e7ar a sua competitividade global.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O plano baseia-se no <\/span>rede transeuropeia de transportes<\/span><\/a> (TEN-T), que visa reduzir para metade os tempos de viagem nas principais rotas ferrovi\u00e1rias europeias. Por exemplo, at\u00e9 2030, os passageiros poder\u00e3o viajar de Berlim a Copenhaga em quatro horas, em vez de sete. At\u00e9 2035, S\u00f3fia e Atenas ficar\u00e3o a seis horas de comboio, em vez de 14 horas, enquanto novas liga\u00e7\u00f5es transfronteiri\u00e7as ir\u00e3o ligar os pa\u00edses b\u00e1lticos e permitir aos passageiros viajar de Paris a Lisboa via Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m de viagens mais r\u00e1pidas, o plano tamb\u00e9m visa aliviar o congestionamento, aumentar a capacidade das linhas convencionais e impulsionar os servi\u00e7os regionais e noturnos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
