A Su\u00ed\u00e7a est\u00e1 a liderar o combate \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas com a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o de uma lei transformadora que consagra em lei a meta l\u00edquida zero do pa\u00eds. Esta legisla\u00e7\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica estabelece um quadro abrangente para a a\u00e7\u00e3o clim\u00e1tica, abrangendo a redu\u00e7\u00e3o das emiss\u00f5es de gases com efeito de estufa (GEE), a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de tecnologias de emiss\u00f5es negativas (NET), a adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas e o alinhamento dos fluxos financeiros com baixas emiss\u00f5es e um desenvolvimento resiliente \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n

Nomeadamente, a lei tamb\u00e9m aborda as emiss\u00f5es provenientes da avia\u00e7\u00e3o e do transporte mar\u00edtimo internacional que abastecem na Su\u00ed\u00e7a, garantindo a sua inclus\u00e3o nas metas globais de redu\u00e7\u00e3o. Para garantir o progresso, a Lei estabelece metas provis\u00f3rias ambiciosas para a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de emiss\u00f5es durante per\u00edodos espec\u00edficos.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, o artigo 5.\u00ba exige que as empresas se alinhem com a meta l\u00edquida zero at\u00e9 2050<\/strong>, cobrindo as emiss\u00f5es de escopo 1 e 2. Para facilitar esta transi\u00e7\u00e3o, as empresas s\u00e3o incentivadas a desenvolver planos de transi\u00e7\u00e3o, e aquelas que apresentarem planos at\u00e9 2029 receber\u00e3o apoio da Federa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Embora a lei tenha sido aprovada, o governo su\u00ed\u00e7o est\u00e1 actualmente a determinar a data da sua entrada em vigor.
